My interests center on using new and innovative data sources to model and understand individual-level impacts/benefits from current and emerging transportation policies and systems, with respect to equity, environmental, and economic efficiency. I recognize that a major challenge with improving transportation and other civil systems is a weak connection between academic research and public decision-making. I am interested in working to bridge that gap. I characterize myself as an academic who is passionate about researching the intersection between transportation investments and society, in order to plan for transportation and policy improvements which are best for all segments of society; today, as well as for future generations.
